Rakfisk

Hi its me Thurman again. Today we are back at home and we are having some guests over for dinner. My mother is preparing a huge feast called Rakfisk. It is a type of fish, usually trout, mixed with eggs, onions, and sour cream. You can also put it on flat bread if you want ,which is what I like to do. The word Rak comes from the Norse word Rakr, which means moist or soaked. It is called this because the trout is usually put in a bucket and then mixed with ocean salt, sugar, and water, or at least that is how my mother makes it. We also tell stories to each other, which makes it fun and exciting. It is also a time to just relax, and enjoy the moment. Well I have to go now, the guests are here. Bye!
