Ian, yet again. I just got a letter from my cousin in the military, and I just feel like talking about the history of the Scottish military. After the Act of Union in 1707, the Scottish military merged with the English. Many Scottish regiments remained, such as the Scots Guard. Scottish soldiers have been instrumental in many British successes, like the expansion of the British Empire.
