Army in Latvia

Latvia's army is named NAF: National Armed Forces. Their mission statement is to gurantee the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation and to defend its population against agression. There are 5,052 professional military soldiers in the NAF, 952 in the Land Forces, 552 in the Naval Forces, 291 in Air-Force, 642 in the National Guard, and 1380 civil military employees. Latvia is allies with Estonia and Lithuania. They are also a member of NATO. There are 1284, 1945 non-commissioned officers and 1817 privates or privates first class in the NAF.
