The University of Liverpool is a well known research university. The university was established in 1881. The university has produced eight Nobel Prize winners and has more than 230 first degree courses across 103 subjects. The university offers nearly 50 types of sport, ranging from football, rugby, and cricket to others like windsurfing and lacrosse. Most sports have male and female teams and most are involved in competitions on a national level.
