Government in Latvia

Latvia is a parliamentary democracy.  The capital is Riga, a beautiful city, Latvia became independent November 18th, 1918 from Soviet Russia.  They celebrate their independence just like July 4th but they consider it more of a national holiday that July 4th.  The constitution of Latvia was created and signed on February 15th, 1922, restored by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Latvia approved by the Supreme Council August 21, 1991, there have been multiple amendments since.  You must be 18 to vote in Latvia and the Chief of State is President Valdis ZATLERS, the Prime Minister is Valdis DOMBROVSKIS.
