German Culture

In Germany our weddings are very different. they last about three days. first we have a civil ceremony. only our close family and close friends are allowed to come. the second night is a HUGE wedding party. Everyone we know is allowed to come. It's tradition that they bring old dishes to break for good luck. the newly weds then sweep up the dishes to symbolize that nothing will ever be broken in their house again.
