Architecture in Latvia
The first Romanesque style church was built in 1186 near the Daugava River in the town of Ikskile. St. George's Church and Dome Cathedral's eastern parts are examples of the Romanesque architecture style. Latvia has all different types of architecture all over. Most of Latvia's buildings and architecture is older but there are certain areas with modern architecture. Latvia has four main categories of architecture. Baroque, Eclectic, Gothic, and Gothic Revival. Baroque architecture is more old time and the type of buildings from 1800s and before. Eclectic is made mostly of bricks and stone, lighthouses are an example of Eclectic architecture. Gothic architecture is all churches and castles but their not always black like the clothing style. That's all I have to say about Latvian Architecture Styles so far.
