Hello! It's Svana again! I am so tired. I was studying all night last night. I am in ninth grade; therefore, I not only have Danish classes, but I also have English classes. It is so hard! I started preschool when I was five years old. Just like Americans, I began first grade when I turned seven. It is customary for children in Iceland to begin Danish classes when they enter fourth grade. When a child enters sixth grade, they begin taking English classes. It is extremely confusing at times; I have to keep up with three different languages! Although I do not currently have a job, I will when I turn sixteen. Nearly everyone sixteen years of age and older have a part-time job after school and during the summer. Although school is tough, I love the weekends. My friend and I enjoy driving about in the evenings. The runtur, a group of roads that are constantly filled with traffic, is my favorite place to hang out. Well, it's getting late, so I'll talk to you later! Wednesday, September 23, 2009
