
Helllo everybody! This is Francisco from Italy and I am currently a native living in Naples. One of the most well known citites in Italy, Naples is known as one of the founders of the original pizza. Developing from Greek origins and foreign ingridients the pizza's original form was made in Naples. The two forms, although actually the same were called the Mariana and the Margherita. Both are flat pieces of bread covered with tomato, oregano, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and usually basil. The only difference is some call it the Mariana because its what sailors wives made them (not because it has seafood on it). Eventually other Italian food mixed into the pizza because of the Italians quest for new flavors. Itay is also known for its pasta as it is the national food. Garlic bread and just bread in particular is usually incorporated into every meal.
