Origin Of The French Language

This whole week of school, we have been talking about the origin of our language, French, in school. I thought it was interesting and thought I might talk about it today. First off, French was created from using latin, italian, spanish, portugese, and romanian. French has a very long language family. French started as Indo-European but then evolved onto Italic, then to Romance, then Italo-Western, Western, Gallo-Iberian, Gallo-Romance, Gallo-Rhetian, Oil, then finally to french.
