Greek's History of Sports!

Hey, it's me Percy again! Remember how I said I really love sports and everything? Well, I was researching and I discovered something I never knew before: Here in Greece sports used to be treated as a religious event! Yeah, a RELIGIOUS event. You see, in Ancient Greece, we were HUGE sports fans. Every four years, the olympic games were held in Olympia. We started the events off with a huge sacrafice to the god, Zeus. Also, anybody caught cheating would never be allowed to be compete again. This was because cheating was considered disrespectful to the gods. Personally, I never cheat. Or do I...just kidding I don't. >.>

Sports in Italia!

Football is obviously the main sport in Italy. We have one the coveted world cup a staggering four times! This number is only second to Brazil and we have been runnner up twice to them. After futbol comes water polo, and then cycling where we have won more championships than anyone else. These two manly sports are dominated every year by Italian athletes. It is understood if you are jelous.

Sports

Hi its Ceana, I love sports. In Scotland, the weather pretty much dominates the sports we have. We try to play as much all weather sports like, rugby, golf, and football. Scotland has its own sporting competitions and governing bodies, such as the Scottish Football League, the Scottish Rugby Union, Cricket Scotland, and the Scottish Cyclist Union. Scotland has held many international games like the Cricket World Cup, but not the Olympic games. I'll write later.BYE!!!

Girls

Girls in Germany wow. I just saw some waliking down the street in the latest fashions. Here in Germany if you are a women and the weather is nice and you live close to a river or beach you will probably be outside sun bathing. Showing off your beauty. I just want to say amazing.

Spainish Lit

Hey, I'm Carolina, and I want to talk about Spainish Literature. Lit in Spain has been affected by many different people and genres. From the Renaissance to the current time, Spain has been putting out literature. I want to tell you about Romanticism. In Spain, Romanticism is regarded as complex and confusing, with great contradictions like rebellion and revolutionary ideas, coming back around to the Catholic Church. They exalted Christianity, throne, and country as supreme values. One would place Sir Walter Scott in this "Traditional Romanticism" camp. I think that's all about this, so Adios, Carolina.

Greek Art!

Hey, Percy again, and right now I feel like talking about a subject that has been valued and cherished throughout Greek history ever since ancient times: Art! I was practically born an artist, my mom says and I have always loved it. So, earlier today I started researching art in Greek and found a lot of cool information. For example, our country has been into art ever since before 1000 B.C. Our ancient art has influenced many other countries and still does today! So we are pretty beast when it comes to art. We've created stone carvings of different gods, built structures, designed some of the first buildings, and many other countries even copy ideas from us. That just goes to show how awesome we are! ;)
